Cary Wright, President

Cary and his wife settled in Midlothian after his Navy service in San Diego. They have a son who has played three seasons in the league. He served as the equipment manager on the board for a year before becoming the president in January 2023. He is also an assistant coach on his son’s team. Cary loves being part of this league and appreciates the commitment that the sport demands from the players, coaches, and parents. He hopes to serve MYFL on the board for years to come.

Brandi Vess, Vice President

Brandi has been involved with the league for several years as a parent of two boys who play flag and tackle and as a volunteer in various roles. She is a licensed CPA and a controller for an advertising agency in Dallas, and she co-chairs a charitable foundation that supports early childhood learning. She is also an active volunteer leader for Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, overseeing collegiate chapters in four states. She is a graduate of the Stagen ILP & The Clara Project, where she developed her leadership skills and aligned her values with her goals. 

Shannon Sawyer, Treasurer

Shannon Sawyer has a passion for football and community service. She moved to Midlothian three years ago with her two sons. When she's not cheering on her oldest at his middle school football games, you can find her at MYFL supporting her youngest on the field. With a background in finances and administration, Shannon uses her skills to support the needs of MYFL. This is her third year on the board, and she is grateful for the opportunity to serve the community.

Darci Woodruff, Secretary

Darci has been an active participant in the league since 2020. Her son, Max, is a dedicated football player, while her two daughters, Maci and Madeline, cheer enthusiastically for his team. As a former special education teacher, Darci strongly believes in making youth sports accessible to all children in Midlothian. Currently, Darci works for a small business in Midlothian and has a deep passion for serving her community.

Vaness Wright, Registrar

Vanessa has been living in Midlothian since 2014 with her husband of 16 years and their son. She works as an RN specializing in oncology at Baylor Scott & White hospitals and has a background as a teacher and coach. Her son has been playing football for four years, and that’s what got her more involved with MYFL. Vanessa loves giving back to the community and is excited to contribute as the registrar. She’s looking forward to connecting with everyone and making a positive impact.

Benjamin Williams, Equipment Manager

Benjamin Williams, a Master Chief Petty Officer in the Navy, is currently assigned as the Chief Recruiter at NTAG Red River. With over two decades of service, he has held various leadership roles and earned numerous awards, including Navy Achievement Medals. His dedication to youth and community is evident in his commitment to supporting and developing programs. Benjamin and his wife, Breanna, have been married for 20 years and have four children.

Kristen LeBlanc, Marketing Manager

Kristen LeBlanc loves football and supporting our community’s youth. She joined MYFL as a parent and a team mom and is proud to have a family that’s deeply involved in the league. Her husband Clark coaches their son, and their daughter cheers them on. Kristen creates and manages marketing campaigns that promote and celebrate MYFL’s mission and values. Her goal is to make MYFL the best youth football league around and to inspire the next generation of football and cheer athletes.

Michael Langford, Fundraising Director

Michael is a dedicated youth sports coach in Midlothian, Texas, with over a decade of experience in football, basketball, baseball, track, and cheer. He has held various leadership roles in youth programs and leagues, including his current position as Fundraising Director for MYFL. Michael is committed to building strong community-driven programs, securing resources, and supporting families to ensure all young athletes have access to the best opportunities.

Traci Steinert, Cheer Director

Traci has been with MYFL cheer for five years and on the cheer committee for four. She’s found tremendous joy in being an assistant coach for the Elite Panthers cheer squad. Football runs deep in their family. Traci’s favorite sports to watch are the ones her daughter and son play. She firmly believes that athletics is an important part of youth and teaches them so many values beyond how to win or lose. She hopes to inspire future cheerleaders and see MYFL and MYFL Cheer grow every year!

Rachel Buchanan, Assistant Cheer Director

Rachel has been an Assistant Cheer Coach with MYFL for the past two years. She and her husband, Jake, have been married for nearly 12 years. Rachel works part-time as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Baylor Scott & White. Their daughter has been involved in dance and gymnastics since a young age, leading Rachel to volunteer as an Assistant Coach for the Mini Cheer Team. Through coaching, Rachel has connected with the girls, other moms, coaches, and committee members. She values patience, perseverance, and communication, and is committed to the growth and betterment of the league.

Erin Allen, Special Projects Manager

Erin has been a head cheer coach with MYFL for four seasons. All four of her kids have participated in football and cheer, giving her a deep understanding of the commitment required. She has gained valuable experience in planning and organizing events for the league, including serving on the Cheer Committee and overseeing the end-of-season competition. Erin always goes above and beyond with a positive attitude. She believes in the many benefits MYFL provides for the youth, both on and off the field, and is excited to contribute to the organization in the Special Projects position.

Kyle Hoover, Health & Safety Manager

Kyle has been a dedicated firefighter and paramedic for the past 10 years, ensuring the safety and well-being of his community. He is married and has children who keep him inspired and motivated. For the past couple of years, Kyle has also served as an assistant coach in the MYFL, where he enjoys fostering a love for the game and mentoring young athletes. As the Health & Safety Manager, Kyle combines his professional expertise with his passion for youth sports to create a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
